Fieldnote: Weatherproof Notebook System
A modular notebook that survives rain, pockets and years — with refills you can actually buy.
We wanted one notebook for site visits, field research and the back pocket. The shell is a 0.8mm aluminum plate wrapped in recycled sailcloth, with a magnetic spine that opens flat and a gusseted pocket for receipts and sample bags.
Inserts are 90gsm synthetic paper that takes fountain ink and survives a soaking. They come in three rulings, attach with a pair of posts, and cost about the same as a decent coffee.
The system is deliberately boring where it should be boring: no app, no subscription, no proprietary refill.
