Kitepath: Ultralight Packraft
2.1kg, fits in a daypack, and turns a hike into a river trip. Built for people who hate portaging.
The best river in the valley is usually the one you cannot drive to. Kitepath packs to the size of a two-person tent and inflates in ninety seconds with the included bag, so the walk in is just a walk.
The hull is a 210D TPU-nylon laminate with welded seams, a 25cm rocker and a payload of 160kg. It tracks well enough for flat water and stays predictable in class II.
We tested twelve prototypes over two seasons in Norway and Scotland. The production version fixes the two things that failed: the floor seam and the valve.
